What is Art Trip?
Art Trip is a documentary series produced by the Finnish National Gallery, which presents artworks, artists, and the phenomena surrounding them, as found in our collections. Each episode is about half an hour long and offers a new way to experience art – peacefully, thoughtfully, and at your own pace.
What is the Finnish National Gallery?
The Finnish National Gallery is the largest art museum and guardian of cultural heritage in Finland. It oversees three museums – the Ateneum Art Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma, and the Sinebrychoff Art Museum – as well as an extensive art collection comprising over 43,000 works. The Finnish National Gallery is a prominent player in both the Finnish and international art scenes.
How often are new episodes released?
New episodes are released 1-2 times a year. Subscribe to our newsletter and be among the first to know when new episodes are available.
What are Art Trip episodes based on?
Each Art Trip episode is based on current art historical research and relevant publications in the field. They are produced in collaboration with experts from the Finnish National Gallery and, when necessary, with external researchers.
How can I watch the episode I purchased?
Directly after purchasing the episode, you will see a link to it on the order confirmation page. The same link will also be sent to the email address you provided. You can also sign in to the service using your email and a one-time password. Once signed in, you can view your previous purchases on the Orders page.
How does the one-time password work?
When signing in to the service, you enter your email address, after which you will receive a six-digit one-time password by email. The password is valid for 15 minutes. If you don’t receive the message right away, please check your spam folder as well.
How long is the episode available to watch?
You will have access to the episode for 30 days after purchase and be able to view it as many times as you choose.
Can I watch the video on multiple devices?
Yes, you can. Sign in with your email address and a one-time password on any device you choose. Your viewing access remains the same across all devices, so you can continue watching whenever and wherever it suits you.
Can I watch episodes abroad?
Yes, Art Trip works outside Finland. All you need is an internet connection and a working browser.
Can I watch episodes without an internet connection?
Offline viewing is not currently available. You need an internet connection to watch the videos.
What devices can I use to watch the videos — Can I watch them on TV?
You can watch Art Trip episodes on a computer, tablet, or smartphone directly through your web browser. The videos use the Vimeo player, which works on most common browsers like Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.
You can also view the videos on your TV by using Chromecast or AirPlay, provided you have a compatible device.
It is important that your device has a working internet connection and an up-to-date browser.
I didn’t receive the email – what should I do?
If you have not received your order confirmation or one-time password via email, please check your spam folder. If you still don’t see the message, try using a different browser (e.g., Firefox or Chrome) and try again. If the problem continues, please contact customer support.
Can I purchase an Art Trip episode as a gift?
Yes! We offer an Art Trip gift card that you can purchase separately. You can choose the amount or specific content to give as a gift. The gift card can be used to purchase any Art Trip episode.
